Some love stories begin with grand gestures – this one began with a routine bank appointment!

One day Regina was at work at her bank, focused on the routine of the day, moving through the quiet rhythm of an ordinary shift greeting customers, answering questions, helping people with their accounts. It was just another shift and nothing unusual, when Samuel walked in to open an account and something shifted. It should have been just another routine interaction, but there was an instant spark, an effortless connection and a feeling that lingered long after he walked away.

What should have been routine became unforgettable. Neither of them knew it yet, but that brief meeting across a desk would quietly become the beginning of forever.

Chance meetings soon became intentional ones. Lunch breaks stretched into after work evenings. Being together felt natural, easy and undeniably right – as natural as breathing.

Days turned into months and months turned into four beautiful years, filled with laughter, comfort and unwavering support.  They celebrated victories together, navigated challenges hand in hand, leaning on and supporting each other whilst being thousands of miles away from their families and discovered that love isn’t only in the big moments – it lives in the small, quiet ones too; a shared glance across a room, an inside joke, a warm hug after a long, hard day.

Then came the unforgettable September 1st 2024.  Samuel had been planning something special for a while now and surrounded by family and the breathtaking beauty of Dartmoor (and a pub nearby for good measure!) he got down on one knee and asked Regina to spend forever with him.  With happy tears and a full heart, she said yes!
