This story began on Eid al-Fitr, around 2010 or 2011. As part of the tradition, Nadyah’s family visited Nafis’s house. It wasn’t a planned meeting just a simple gathering between two families who had known each other for a long time.

Nafis’s father and Nadyah’s late father were childhood friends. That’s why these visits became a yearly tradition, especially since both families come from Lamongan.

At that time, we only knew each other as familiar faces in the living room. Nothing special. Because Nadyah didn’t live in Lamongan, we only met once a year during Eid. Our connection was simple, with no special moments.

As time passed, we grew up and became busy with our own lives. We only stayed in touch through social media, just keeping up with each other’s updates. Until Eid 2022. At that point, we both started thinking about the future, including marriage. What began as a casual conversation slowly became something more serious.

Nafis then took the courage to get to know Nadyah more deeply, with clear and sincere intentions. In mid-2023, we took our first step. Nafis, who was working in Kalimantan, invited Nadyah, who was in Sukabumi, to meet.

Our first meeting as two people exploring a serious relationship happened at the Dewa 19 30th Anniversary concert at GBK Jakarta. It wasn’t a quiet or romantic place, but in the middle of the crowd and music, we felt sure about moving forward together.

The journey wasn’t always easy. We had doubts, and we even broke up and got back together. But through it all, we learned to understand each other, to compromise, and to grow together. We realized that love is not only about comfort, but also about choosing each other, even when things are not easy.

After going through the journey from 2023 to 2025, we decided to take the next step. On July 26, 2025, we got engaged. And with our families’ blessings, we plan to get married on April 5, 2026.

From a simple conversation during Eid al-Fitr and ordinary family visits, our story slowly grew into a beautiful journey together. We believe love is not about how quickly two people meet, but about how patiently they grow and complete each other.
