Who would’ve thought one conversation, one big move, and one swipe could change everything?

It all started with a conversation and a friend’s encouragement to take a leap of faith and move to Australia on a Work and Holiday Visa. Until then, Australia had never even been part of my plans. Leaving my mom and family behind wasn’t easy, but Alhamdulillah, that one decision changed my life in ways I never imagined.

Then came one simple swipe on Tinder, where I matched with Jordan.

Our first date, a game of pickleball on 26th November 2024, was even more special because the same friend who encouraged me to move to Australia was there with me. 

Looking back, I realised that without taking that leap of faith, I might have never met Jordan. The date felt effortless, conversation flowed, laughter came naturally, and before long, we realised home isn’t always a place, it can also be a person.

Even before we officially called it a relationship, Jordan introduced me to his mom and his brother. A year later, he travelled to Indonesia to meet my family, and seeing him connect so naturally with the people I love, quietly confirmed what our hearts already knew.

Our story may have unfolded quickly, but every step felt right. With the love and support of our families and friends, we knew we had found our forever.
