It was late afternoon, the first time we met in UGM. A quick hello that led to poems and conversations. We hit it off right away and spent the whole night talking and laughing together. We’d go on walks and try new restaurants. Our friendship turned into something more. We both realized that we had feelings for each other, so we decided to give a romantic relationship a try. And it was the best decision we ever made.

Distance aside, we dated for nearly seven years. Four years in the same city and three years in a 349.4-mile car ride between us. We never thought, after that late afternoon, we would call each other when the sun rises until the sun sets. Every single day. Until today. Until forever.
